Little Bilberry

Hark The Herald Angels Sing might be my favourite carol to play, even if it's not my outright favourite. This is a very delicate arrangement; the splitting up of the verses into halves gives a different emphasis to different parts, and allows us to linger longer on some of the words that get moved past faster in the normal version.

Mild he lays his glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth

When Hazel and I did our Alternative Carols By Candlelight in 2019 this was what we ended on, and it really does have a sense of closure and finality to it. I'm hoping next year we'll be able to do so again.
