The above is a tag cloud for my book so far from the rather spiffing Wordle. I used another one over at my book’s blog – I have a reason to mention it this time. I’ve added a load more words (though I stress again that this is a rough first draft. The fact that there are almost no descriptions has not escaped my notice, believe me.) to the story, and also some character biographies. More stuff in that vein will be appearing soon.
I’ve been inspired by the marvellous Jack of Kent‘s new project, Tales of the Roebuck Institute (about an organisation not to dissimilar to the Bright Angel Foundation featured in my book (there’s also a Bright Angel Institute, but it’s a school), and I think I might do something along those lines. Not yet, though. I’ve committed now to updating the book once a week. I’m fairly sure I’m up to it. If my dad can bash out a comic every week, I can damn well manage a few paragraphs. I’m slightly torn, actually. While I’d love to recommend that you go and read my book, another part of me wants to take it all down and finish it first. But I suppose that might disincentivise me to write. I don’t know. It’s staying for the moment, is what I’m saying. Not interesting in my book? Why the hell not? But if that’s the case… well, I’ve written some rather good stuff this week, actually! Some stuff about Nazis, Tom Watson and Michael Gove, and (my favourite) violence and (& in) videogames. Might not be particularly coherent, but it should be interesting. And that’s it for today. I’m back tomorrow with more tales from the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. It is an area which we call… The Twilight Zone.
Cheers for this – the link for the Tales from the Roebuck Institute is http://roebuckinstitute.blogspot.com/ and the best place to start is http://roebuckinstitute.blogspot.com/p/background.html
